NYL started off very well creating many chances and for the most part the game was played in the midfield. The home sides first good chance from own from the right hand side. The ball whipped pass the goal begging to be buried in the net but no NYL player in sight.
NYL had a second significant chance with Sabyan from the left side taking on some players with a great solo effort took a shot on goal, hit the post and Naser followed up with a simple tap in. The home side were still dominating but unfortunately the final ball was just not there and couldn't get the ball on target.
From midfield NYL had lost the balls deep in their own half. The defence was helpless and the keeper was off his line. Cannon took advantage and scored the equaliser.
Second Half
NYL started of strong again testing the Cannon keeper on a couple of occasions. Cannon also threatened at goal but had no luck either, it was a stalemate throughout the game.
In the dying minutes of the game Cannon gave a long ball out went to the NYL defence who failed to clear it. The ball bounced too high for the defender and he miss-kicked it. It fell to a Cannon centre forward who was one on one with the keeper and guided the ball to the left side of the net. 1-2 to Cannon.
As the attack finished the referee blew the whistle and it was game over. It was a second loss in a row for NYL.
The lads have to pick them selves from a bitter defeat and nothing but a win in the next game will do.
